Year 10 visit to Herbert Parkinson
Following their recent work experience placements, a group of Year 10 students had the exciting opportunity to visit Herbert Parkinson for a behind-the-scenes tour of their manufacturing facility.
During the visit, students gained a valuable insight into the world of manufacturing, seeing first-hand how the factory operates and learning about the wide range of careers and roles involved in the business. They were able to explore the journey from design to production and discover the processes that ensure products are made to the highest standards.
Students also learned how made-to-measure fabrics, curtains and blinds are designed and manufactured to meet the individual requirements of customers. The experience provided a fascinating look into the importance of precision, teamwork and innovation within a modern manufacturing environment.
We would like to thank everyone at Herbert Parkinson for welcoming our students and providing such an informative and engaging experience. Opportunities like these help our young people to develop a greater understanding of the workplace and inspire them to consider the many career pathways available to them in the future.
