This statement details our school’s use of pupil premium (and recovery premium for the 2021 to 2022 academic year) funding to help improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils.
It outlines our pupil premium strategy, how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the effect that last year’s spending of pupil premium had within our school.
Curriculum Offer – Our Moral Compass and Intent
Excellence – To provide an outstanding package for ALL pupil premium students regardless of prior attainment or current performance.
Equity – To ‘level the playing field’ for pupil premium students so they have the same opportunities, experiences, support and aspirations.
Priorities for DACA
To address the barriers to learning across all key stages that our Disadvantaged Students face:
- Attendance / Punctuality
- Standards of literacy and numeracy which are below expected.
- Reading age below chronological age
To eradicate the gap between Disadvantaged students and the rest of the cohort across all Key Stages.
To ensure appropriate provision and resources for Looked after Children.
To achieve and sustain improved wellbeing for all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged.
