Why Should I Study BTEC Business?

You should study business if you are interested in business environments, finance and marketing. It is a good choice if you wish to become an entrepreneur, pursue a business management career or study for a business related degree at university.

What Will I Study?

You will study the purposes of different businesses, their structure, the effect of the external environment, and how they need to be dynamic and innovative to survive. You will develop the skills and understanding required to interpret information and data in order to formulate a rationale and a plan for a marketing campaign. You will learn the importance of personal and business finance. You will calculate and interpret data. You will be encouraged to watch documentaries and news channels from across the globe to help you understand and interpret global business news items and the current economic climate.

How Is A Level Sociology Assessed?

You will complete four units, two of which are externally examined.

What Can I Study With BTEC Business?

Many students choose to study business alongside IT; however, it will complement any of the other courses at DACA and will support your entry into higher education and beyond.

Where Does A Qualification In Business Lead?

A qualification in business is an excellent choice if you wish to progress to a degree in business, HR, finance, marketing, PR or retail. It will also form an excellent foundation for those of you wishing to start your own business, now or in the future!

Minimum Subject Entry Requirements:

Grades 5 in English and mathematics.
