The transition from primary and secondary school can often be fraught with difficulties. Our commitment to working with our feeder primaries hopes to ease that transition for both students and parents.
- Our expert teaching staff support our primary feeders in delivering curriculum projects in creative arts, music and sport.
- Primary aged students are actively engaged in our entrepreneurship specialism. For example, as part of the Darwen’s Got Talent Event (2nd April, 2009) students will be invited to apply to help manage the event, run a mini enterprise or take part in competition to design a ticket or a t-shirt to promote the event.
- We have a committed primary transition team who deliver the Moving to High School (MOTHS) Programme and a series of transition events in the summer term for Year 6 students.
