Entrepreneurs can be found in many walks of life including business, education, the community, sport and the creative arts. Successful entrepreneurs embody common characteristics which can be nurtured over time. To this end, Darwen Aldridge Community Academy has developed the DAKA, a new currency of entrepreneurship which provides a framework for students to develop entrepreneurial capability.
At Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, students are able to develop their entrepreneurial capability in their lessons and Session 3 activities. Students are rewarded with DAKA points which are stored in their DAKA bank account. At the end of every term exceptional students are awarded DAKAs badges and may be invited on a reward trip to London to meet our sponsors.
