Pink Passion Party 2010

Pink Passion Party
In celebration of Women’s Enterprise Day, DACA hosted its second annual Pink Passion Party on the 18th November 2009. The aim of the event is to raise the aspirations of young women in Darwen and celebrate female entrepreneurship by acknowledging their achievements and encouraging other women to turn their passions into profits. Students worked with local businesses to host a fashion show and to launch pink businesses to raise money for charity.

Claire Young, attended the event as a guest speaker to inspire up and coming female entrepreneurs from the area. Claire talked about her entrepreneurial journey, her experience on the Apprentice and her own personal experiences of making it in the world of business.
All proceeds of the event are donated to ‘Wear it Pink’ the breast cancer awareness charity.
