The parents and staff going to Finland had a meeting last night to sort out the final details for the trip. Everyone's looking forward to going to Finland, a country most of us know very little about. Remember to pack some boots for hillwalking. That means you too Miss Smith.

All having a great time here in Finland. All made it through the Forest hike(including Miss Smith!!), then spent the afternoon true finnish style with sauna's and lake swimming! Today we spent the day in Helsinki and visited the home of the famous composer Jean Sibelius and also visited the Natioanl Art Gallery. We explored the city and everyone has had a great day. This evening the pupils have been entertained by their host families and we have had a teachers gathering.... including having a go on finnish singstar karaoke!!! We have had a great time here so far and enjoying all the culture and new experiences Finland has to offer. :)

And you‘ve seen nothing til you've seen Miss Smith doing Finnish karaoke in Finnish. Finnish rap. Darwen style. Good night everyone.
