Every student at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy has one lesson of entrepreneurship per week. Here students engage in a specially designed curriculum which develops not only their entrepreneurial capability but also their financial capability and their economic and business understanding.
Key Stage 3 projects have included a Christmas Charity Challenge, Design a Healthy Sweet Shop and Grow it, Box it Sell it.
Students at Key Stage 4 work towards a BTEC Work Skills which prepares their readiness for working life. Units of study include Applying for a Job, Preparing for Interview, Enterprise, Producing a Product and Volunteering.
